Wow lot of ground to cover. I need to update more.

Monday was #depechemode day on twitter. Brat decided to try and rally the tweeting swarm and see if we couldn't get Depeche Mode as a trending topic (showing up on the side bar of most talked about shit atm) Didn't work, a few reasons for this, I'm sure. First, I think the idea off standing up and banding together to do something is not the sort that one associates with the demeanour of a hard core DM fan. Second, and this is the kicker, he chose to do it on a bloody Monday. Now it's a lovely thing if you can be online or on your phone half the day at work. A lot of people can't. When I'm at work I'm actually working not fucking about on the interwebs in a DM themed circle jerk. Though it did provide an open form for myself and a few others the be ass holes before work, which in my mind is a positive. And produced such gems as:

#depechemode...wonder if Dave ever got his Geisha caught in a bed post.
Or on some ones nose ring. #DepecheMode
#martingore is low hanging fruit on the #faggo-tree #depechemode #recoil
    #DaveGahan flavoured cheesecake for breakfast #Depechemode #Recoil #cannibalism?

Before that was the one week span that was my birthday (black)celebration (#depe...oh wait that's over)

The night of the 30th wife and I went to Applebee's with the intent to eat bad food and get sloshed. I think we accomplished the task brilliantly. The only thing that marred the evening was the old cunt next to us talking about "the lord," his "grand-dog" and "those Hebrews." This was mostly just a source of amusement after the initial shock and was well countered by talking about how fucking Jewish we are and who in the hallowed portraits of by gone local high school basketball players looked like the could use a good bumming.

During the course of the evening (the drunker end of the evening)this gem emerged:

    let them eat...sommat )

    ***

I worked on the 1st. I like work well enough so this wasn't a bad thing but because of the short week we all had large strenuous cleaning projects. Not fun. But money is money. When Zaf got home she had a chocolate cheese cake for me (a gift from her boss for me) it wasn't set up yet so it tasted funny but the next day it was amazing. We watched Star Trek TNG for a few hours and then went out for a (near enough)midnight dinner of the greatest food know to man or god.

After we sat down to eat the most awesome of Mexican foods a very vocal drunk lumbered in the the establishment. He proceeded to go on to the room in general about how he "wanted some real Mexican food! The best thing that guy can make." how he "had Mexican friend...no I actually don't but my hat is from Mexico." how he was a "cowboy" and that this was all "Mafia shit." Then he started singing. Then a girl came in and he started hitting on her. Then he sang to the girl. I can't think of the last time I feel that bad for someone.

    ***

The next day was my actual factual birthday. I slept in, read, played with my stylophone, which I had received earlier and generally fucked around online until Zaf got home with yummy chicken and wild rice soup from work. Watched 101 and got smashed... something something meow meow meow. I took great effort to actually let myself relax. I'm not very good at it most of the time. I just have so much going on that I feel like I should always be doing something but I just end up working myself in to a completely non creative space. So yeah, working on that. I did nothing and it was grand.

    ***

I worked again on the 3rd, I had a fairly short day. I have actually been told that I don't need to work as fast as I do and that it hurts my hours in the long run. I guess that I should take it easier but I get in to a grove and just go and when I look up I'm done. I'm too fucking awesome. :-\

I was only home for a little when Zaftiq called me and told me to get my arse on a bus and come met her at the mall for super extra crazy go nuts shopping. We had been waiting to get paid to buy my presents and once we had been, boy did we. I got a bunch of books:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The classic novel made palatable to husbands everywhere through the seamless addition of ZOMBIES. It's awesome.

1984. I had lost my copy and had really been wanting to reread it.

Batman: Jokers Asylum. Mmm comics. Bunch of stories about some of the big bads in Gotham. Different artist for each. Which I like. More art is good.

Alan Moore's Writing for Comics. Haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Hoping it will help with Type-D. Lord knows I need it.

And a little knock off Moleskine

I also picked up a shirt for myself (It says "mixing beats" and has a picture of a beat. Clever!) and a Kitty Stardust shirt for Alex, whose arrive is imitate!

I picked up a copy of Viewtiful Joe for $6 because I remember it being interesting and I need more video games. While I did out side the Gamestop in the little vending machines Zaf made an amazing find, I Love Egg cell phone charms! I've loved that little cartoon for years I was so happy to find them. I got a little fortune teller one and am totally going back for more.

Then I finally. Finally. Got a fucking Keyboard. My parents had sent me some money and it was just enough to cover the cheapest one they had at Target. It's naff little Casio AND I LOVE HIM. I named him Defector. I have been making up little songs to amuse Zaf and butchering DM songs nonstop. :-] It is love. True deep mad mad mad mad love.

As it stands this is my world:

And it is a good one.

This has gotten too long I'll post art work in another one. Need more carne fries.
